Market: Guarani win
Odds: 7/10 @
Hoping to make an immediate return to winning ways this weekend, Guarani will welcome Londrina to the Brinco de Ouro da Princesa on Saturday afternoon.
Starting with the hosts, putting in a flat performance last weekend as they suffered a 1-0 loss away at Botafogo, Bruno Pivetti’s side will be looking to claim an immediate boost here. Although the Sao Paulo-based outfit might have recorded just a pair of wins from any of their last nine Serie B appearances there is no doubt that the Bugre will be glad to make a return to home soil on Saturday afternoon. Last seen at the Brinco de Ouro da Princesa picking up a lively 2-1 victory against Mirassol, Guarani have recorded back-to-back wins in front of their own supporters and they have certainly gained a reputation for their hometown success. In fact, on a run that is highlighted by a 2-0 win against promotion hopefuls Victoria last month, Pivetti’s side have suffered just a single defeat in Sao Paulo so far this season.
As for the visitors, while some in Londrina’s camp might have opened the 2023 campaign with their sights set on mounting a genuine promotion charge, the Sharks are enduring a real Serie B struggle. Last seen over the weekend putting in another worrying display as they slumped to a 2-1 loss away at CRB, Alexandre Gallo’s men are at the heart of a relegation scrap. Sat in the drop zone and facing what could be another tough test here, the Parana-based outfit have remarkably collected just a single point from any of their last six straight second-tier appearances a run that stems all the way back to May 19th. Likewise, continuing to show some rather glaring struggles on the road, Londrina should also be worried by their most recent meeting against Saturday’s hosts. Slumping to a 1-0 loss at the hands of Guarani nine months ago, we are expecting a similar outcome here.
Bet: Guarani 7/10 to beat Londrina in Saturday s Brazil Serie B battle @
